Oprah Winfrey

OPRAH WINFREY
showed off her celebrity pulling power again during her U.S. TV show on Tuesday (24Nov09) when she introduced ALICIA KEYS, JENNIFER HUDSON, ANDREA BOCELLI, MARY J. BLIGE, SUGARLAND and TIM MCGRAW to her stage for a tribute to the heroes of the U.S. Airways Flight 1549 miracle.

Winfrey saluted hero pilot Captain Chesley 'Sully' Sullenberger III and the first responders who saved the lives of passengers after the flight was forced to crash land in the Hudson River, offshore from Manhattan in New York City in January (09).

And she organised a special concert for the heroes, featuring her famous friends.

The celebrities briefly appeared at the end of Oprah for the musical salute, which was taped after the show and will appear on TV on Monday (30Nov09).
