Shyne

Recently-freed rapper SHYNE went back to prison on Thanksgiving Day (26Nov09) to give a motivational speech to inmates in his native Belize.

The hip-hop star was released from jail in October (09) after serving eight years of a 10-year sentence for his part in a 1999 shooting.

He was subsequently deported to his native country and Shyne has been using his time back home to share his experiences with other incarcerated young men, according to Allhiphop.com.

Shyne - real name Jamal Barrow - visited prisoners at Belize's Hattiesville prison, and spoke about his own time behind bars, as well as his plans to get his life back on track following his release. He told inmates they need to develop a strategy for their life beyond prison.
